Positioning And Mapping
The i105 navigates using EFLS 2.0 positioning, which adds Visual SLAM so the camera builds 3D maps during operation. This setup improves mowing performance in low-satellite-signal areas across the property.
Mapping uses AI-Assist Mapping. Navimow states that AI-Assist Mapping identifies clear lawn edges during mapping. The application provides multi-zone management for mowing schedules, though multiple working zones share one total map limit across the entire lawn area.
Obstacle Avoidance And Edges
Visual hazard detection uses Navimow's VisionFence image obstacle avoidance, alongside 140 degree RGB object detection. VisionFence identifies over 150 objects across animals, tools, and everyday obstacles encountered across the turf. An Animal Friendly Mode detects pets and wildlife within five meters and recalculates the travel path to keep a one-meter buffer around detected creatures.
Navimow publishes two boundary types: Standard boundary and Ride-on boundary. When configured for a Standard boundary, the mower stays within the boundary during operation. Selecting a Ride-on boundary directs the mower so it straddles the edge for a close cut along suitable borders between grass and adjoining non-grass surfaces.
Ride-on boundary settings require specific yard conditions published by Navimow. The gap between grass and non-grass must remain under 1 cm, and physical barriers must stand at least 20 cm away from the boundary edge. In addition, passages across the property must measure at least 100 cm wide and at least 40 cm high for clearance.
Slope, Wheels, And Cutting
Mechanical drive hardware uses a front-wheel drive design paired with large wheels to move across the turf. Navimow lists slope climbing up to 30 percent, which corresponds to an incline of 17 degrees.
Manual cutting height adjustment ranges from 2 to 3.6 inches, which users can configure across different zones in the app. Navimow lists an operating noise level of 58 dB(A) for the machine. Readers can check our guide covering a robot mower for small yards.
App, Weather, And Protection
The mower connects via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and the app shows real-time progress and sets recurring schedules inside the mobile app. The application also supports setting cutting height per zone from 2.0 to 3.6 inches. In addition, the system integrates with Alexa and Google Home, while weather monitoring pauses mowing and returns the mower to its dock.
Weather and exterior protection includes an IP66 rating along with a 360-hour UV shield. According to Navimow, anti-theft and GPS tracking need the separately purchased Navimow Access+ 4G module.
