People searching Chinese spy robots are usually hunting real hardware used for remote sensing, patrol video, and security monitoring. The platforms with published product pages or named state-media coverage are the DJI Matrice 350 RTK, Autel EVO Max 4T, Gosuncn (高新兴) F2 / 千巡 F2, DEEP Robotics X30, Unitree Go2, and Hangzhou Rotunbot RT-G spherical units covered by Xinhua.

None of those makers sell a consumer SKU titled spy robot. They sell inspection drones, police/security patrol robots, and industrial or research quadrupeds that share cameras, radios, and remote monitoring. Specs below are taken from manufacturer pages or named wire reporting, not from viral captions.

Start with body type and job. Roofs and corridors favor aerial. Flat plazas favor wheeled F2-class robots. Stairs and industrial clutter favor IP-rated quadrupeds. Street demos with unusual mobility may point to spherical RT-G class hardware.

Aerial Sensing: DJI Matrice 350 RTK Specs

The Matrice 350 RTK is DJI’s flagship enterprise multirotor for inspection, surveying, and public-safety flights. DJI’s specs page lists a 55-minute maximum flight time measured at about 8 m/s with no payload in windless lab conditions, an IP55 rating that can degrade with wear, and O3 Enterprise transmission with up to 20 km FCC / 8 km CE max range in unobstructed low-interference tests.

Published mass with two TB65 batteries is about 6.47 kg with a single downward gimbal; max takeoff weight is 9.2 kg; a single gimbal damper’s max payload is 960 g. Operating temperature is −20 °C to 50 °C. Max horizontal speed is 23 m/s and max wind resistance is 12 m/s.

Supported DJI gimbals on the same specs page include Zenmuse H30 / H30T, H20-family cameras, L2 LiDAR, and P1 mapping payloads. That payload list is why Matrice shows up in Western debates about Chinese-made UAS used for sensing—not because DJI sells a spy robot SKU.

U.S. critical-infrastructure and agency buyers should still run a separate data-path screen. Start with FBI/CISA guidance on Chinese-manufactured UAS and covered-system language such as FAR 52.240-1 before treating a Matrice quote as settled.

Aerial Sensing: Autel EVO Max 4T Specs

Autel’s EVO Max 4T is the other Chinese enterprise multirotor that regularly lands on public-safety and inspection shortlists. Autel’s product page markets energy inspection, emergency rescue, and public-safety use, and publishes about 42 minutes maximum flight time in windless lab horizontal flight at 8 m/s, about 37 minutes max hover, and about 25 km max flight distance in lab conditions.

Aircraft weight is in the roughly 1.6–1.7 kg class depending on battery and gimbal configuration (Autel lists figures such as 1645–1665 g with smart battery, Fusion gimbal, and props). Transmission distance is published around 15 km FCC / 8 km CE without interference. The Fusion payload stack combines zoom, wide, thermal, and laser ranging; Autel cites thermal resolution up to 640×512 and high hybrid/digital zoom for standoff viewing.

Autel has published EU C2 and C5 class-mark news for EVO Max series compliance in Europe. That is not the same as a U.S. NDAA or Blue UAS clearance. Do not assume NDAA eligibility from the product page alone—verify current U.S. procurement rules for your agency before substituting Autel for DJI.

Choose Autel when you need a compact thermal/zoom public-safety aircraft and a non-DJI Chinese enterprise channel. Choose Matrice when you need longer advertised endurance and the DJI Zenmuse payload ecosystem.

Wheeled Patrol: Gosuncn F2 Spec Sheet

The 警用巡逻机器人 F2 from Guangzhou Gosuncn Robot (高新兴机器人 / 千巡 F2) is the clearest wheeled Chinese police-patrol product page behind many “spy/patrol robot” photos. The manufacturer lists 950×630×1445 mm size, 120 kg mass, IP55 protection, 5.4 km/h speed, 15° climb, 10 cm wading, 5 cm obstacle clearance, and about 28 km or 8 hours endurance with wireless auto-charging (about 2 hours for 10%→80%).

Sensors on the same page: a 4MP 20× zoom visible camera, two 2MP panoramic cameras (optional four), optional 256×192 thermal, 360° pan / ±90° tilt gimbal, 32-line LiDAR, and 4G/5G/Wi-Fi. Marketing copy also claims police PWL network support and police-robot technical-standard / CR certification.

Vendor case labels on the product page include Guangzhou South Railway Station, Shenzhen Luohu Port, Nanjing Confucius Temple, Yancheng public security, and major-security framing at Tiananmen Square. A January 2024 Gosuncn news post describes a 千巡 F2 “小蓝车” assisting Chunyun security at Dongguan railway station with autonomous walking, interaction, face monitoring, and wireless auto charge (gorobotop.com/news/7.html).

A near-identical 安保巡逻机器人 F2 page retargets the chassis to commercial security for parks, campuses, and property sites. Same major numbers; different buyer story. Confirm which SKU and camera kit you are actually being quoted.

Quadrupeds: X30 And Unitree Go2 Numbers

The DEEP Robotics X30 is an industrial quadruped published for inspection, emergency response, surveying, security, and research. The U.S. product page lists standing size 1000×695×470 mm, 56 kg with battery, IP67 sealing, −20 °C to +55 °C operation, max speed ≥4 m/s, slopes ≤45°, obstacles ≥200 mm, 2.5–4 hours continuous operation, and ≥10 km patrol range on a 72V battery with Ethernet/Wi-Fi style interfaces.

Unitree Go2 is priced from $1,600 (AIR), $2,800 (PRO), $4,500 (X), with EDU via sales. Go2 stands about 70×31×40 cm and weighs about 15 kg with battery. AIR tops out around 2.5 m/s; higher editions publish higher speed bands and lab peaks near 5 m/s. Battery life is about 1–2 hours on AIR/PRO/X and about 2–4 hours on EDU with the long battery. Secondary development is EDU-first.

Go2 is the affordable research and demo silhouette that floods social feeds. X30 is the harsh-environment security/inspection shortlist item when weather sealing and stairs matter. Do not budget a Go2 AIR cart as if it were an X30 industrial quote.

Spherical Patrol: Rotunbot RT-G From Wire Reporting

Xinhua (14 Dec 2024) reported a spherical robot joining special-police patrols in Wenzhou: about 160 kg, 0.8 m diameter, described by a local police deputy commander as combat-capable for close-quarters and anti-terror framing, able to reach 30 km/h in 2.5 seconds, and mountable with police equipment. Designer Wang You of Zhejiang University described pendulum drive, land-and-water sealing, about 10 hours or 120 km endurance, operation down to −30 °C, and impact resistance claims up to 4 tonnes.

People’s Daily Online / Global Times (27 Feb 2025) explicitly names the platform RT-G from Hangzhou Rotunbot, repeats the 160 kg mass and 10-hour endurance, and quotes Wang at 35 km/h in 2.5 seconds—so public speed figures conflict (30 vs 35). Treat speed as media-reported until Rotunbot publishes a stable datasheet number on rotunbot.com.cn.

Spherical units matter for Chinese spy/patrol searches because the viral silhouette is easy to mislabel. They are not a substitute for F2 wheeled endurance math on flat hubs, and they are not a consumer cart product in the Unitree sense.

If you are comparing for a real pilot, ask for the exact RT-G configuration, recovery after tip events, operator training time, and whether your quote matches Wenzhou demo hardware or an export sample kit.

• Prefer Xinhua / People’s Daily named figures over unlabeled social clips.
• Note the 30 vs 35 km/h conflict before putting speed in a procurement table.
• Confirm amphibious claims against your actual route (street vs water edge).
• Ask whether net-gun or “combat” mounts in promo clips are options or deployed kits.

How To Choose And What To Verify Before Buying

Match job → body → named model → data path → support. Aerial for roofs and corridors. F2-class wheels for clean pavement and docks. X30-class legs for stairs and weather. Go2 for education or light demos. RT-G only when the spherical form is the point of the pilot.

Write the data path before the deposit: where video lands, whether cloud sync can be disabled, who holds accounts, and whether your insurer or agency restricts Chinese-made UAS or networked cameras.

Then price the full stack: robot or aircraft, sensors, docks or batteries, radios, training, spare packs, and a named support contact. A cheap sticker with no support is not a security system.
