The numbers are the most specific published anywhere in this category. They are also the numbers a competitor chose to publish. Treat them as a planning range and get written quotes, starting with WCCTV and LiveView Technologies, neither of which publishes pricing directly.

The decision itself is simpler than that spread suggests. A construction site with a 14-month build, a seasonal retail lot or an event should rent. The unit leaves when the job does, and no capital is stranded.

A permanent yard perimeter, a fixed car park or a utility substation should buy. Three years of rental at $1,200 a month comes to $43,200. A three-panel trailer costs $24,000 to $29,000 outright.

The awkward case is an 18 to 24 month deployment, where the arithmetic is close enough that other factors decide it. Ask who carries maintenance, whether monitoring is bundled, and what a redeployment costs.

Mast Height and Camera Reach

Mast height sets what the cameras see over, and unmanned trailers converge on 20 feet. WCCTV publishes masts standing up to 20 feet. Height buys two things. The first is sightline over parked vehicles, stacked material, fencing and low structures, so one position can cover a car park instead of three.
